Rachel (Foster) Love
Rachel Love, Ph.D. is a specialist in early childhood development and has developed particular expertise in the areas of infant mental health and working with parents and young children on behavior management and emotion regulation. She received her Ph.D. in applied developmental psychology in 2004 from the University of New Orleans in Louisiana, where she also served as a member of the Tulane Jefferson Parish Infant Team and worked with children under the age of 5 who were in foster care.
Before joining MidStep, Dr. Love worked as a Mental Health Professional and member of a Family-Based team at Keystone Service System, Inc. in Bellefonte, PA where she worked with families at-risk for having a child placed outside of the home. As an independent evaluator, she also conducted assessments of children from birth to three to determine eligibility for Early Intervention (EI) services, and she continues to provide EI assessments at MidStep.
When not at work Dr. Love spends her time playing with her twin daughters and catching up with her husband.
